I write this entry under a most unfortunate set of circumstances, in which my father has gone to the hospital with what has been diagnosed as a minor heart attack.
There’s talk about his having to have open heart surgery as well.
So, the next big thing is, we’re going to have to make major diet changes around Hickory Shade!
Number one, we’re going to start by keeping red wine stocked.
Number two, butter and fattening foods are out. No more fried foods, and if I catch anyone frying anything, I’ll throw it away- and don’t try me on this, because there are plenty of hungry animals right outside the door.
Number three, I’m going to start making the healthiest recipes that have ever existed. I’ve barely used Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone despite being so excited to get it last year, so now we’re going to switch our diets largely over to delicious fruits and vegetables.
Earlier, I had raisin toast; this was true raisin toast, though, which was actually just toast with raisins sprinkled on it. Moohahaha. So delicious. I recommend it to everyone!
So, I need all the vegetarian and healthy recipes everyone has available. Load me down with them on here! Give new ideas! Show me the foods that will taste so good that Bapaw will not miss the unhealthiness in it!!!
Get your nosh on, and a few prayers for my father would be nice, too.
